Magneto, intrigued, places Gambit in the guest quarters to consider his plea.

When Wanda discovers her sister with Gambit, she’s furious and locks him up in the underground prison, leaving Lorna devastated and heartbroken. Desperate to escape Genosha, Lorna sneaks into the cells and promises to release Gambit if he takes her away. At Gambit’s boat, Lorna hesitates, having never left the island before. As she contemplates, Gambit sets off, revealing Magneto’s stolen helmet. Apologising for his deception, he sails away. Enraged, Lorna uses her powers to retrieve the helmet, drawing it back to shore. Magneto arrives to console his weeping daughter as explosions rock the island behind them. Vowing revenge on Senator Kelly, Magneto’s resolve is firm.

Wolverine and Nightcrawler arrive too late to prevent the chaos. Magneto storms into Kelly’s office, ready to retaliate, but is interrupted by Rogue and Shadowcat, who take both men back to the X-Mansion. Wolverine decides to reveal the potential horrors of their impending war. Future Xavier shows them a grim future, dominated not by mutants or humans but by machines. This apocalyptic vision is enough to convince Senator Kelly to halt the Sentinel program. On Genosha, Magneto demands Quicksilver be brought to his side immediately…
