“Dominic Petros – Avalanche – is a man shaped by defiance. His mutation grants him the ability to generate seismic waves, a force capable of reshaping landscapes and shattering structures. And yet, for all his power, he has spent much of his life searching for stability.

At one point, he ran a bar, a quiet attempt at normalcy, situated close enough to the X-Men that it seemed almost like an unspoken truce. A place where, for a time, he could exist outside of conflict. But Avalanche has never been one to remain still for long.

His closest companion in the Brotherhood was Pyro. Their friendship was forged in fire – both literal and figurative. Pyro, flamboyant and reckless, was the perfect counterbalance to Avalanche’s more grounded nature. They fought together, laughed together, and, in their own way, understood each other in a way few others could. It was a bond that transcended their shared battles.

When Pyro was struck down by the Legacy Virus, Avalanche was left adrift. He had spent years standing beside his friend, and now, there was nothing he could do to stop the inevitable. Loss is a cruel teacher, and for Avalanche, it was a lesson he never truly recovered from.

He has always been a man caught between worlds – between villainy and redemption, between destruction and creation. I have often wondered if, given the right circumstances, he might have chosen a different path.

Perhaps, in another life, he would have found peace.”

FIRST APPEARANCE: The X-Impulse
VOICED BY: Christopher Grey

A rebellious troublemaker with seismic powers, Avalanche thrives on chaos. His ability to generate earthquakes makes him a dangerous adversary, but his lack of discipline often puts him at odds with Mystique’s leadership.

Avalanche’s rivalry with Cyclops is a defining aspect of his character. Their clashes are frequent, with Avalanche constantly trying to prove himself against the X-Men’s leader.

Despite his antagonistic nature, Avalanche isn’t entirely villainous. He occasionally questions Mystique’s orders and even considers defecting to the X-Men, though his loyalty to the Brotherhood ultimately keeps him in their ranks.

Perhaps the one thing that may make his sway, it his love for Kitty Pryde. Since their debut, they both flirted, and even at one point, Avalanche was willing to try to join the X-Men to be with her.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Hindsight (Part 2)
VOICED BY: James Patrick Stuart

A destructive force with the ability to manipulate seismic energy, Avalanche thrives in chaos. His powers allow him to create earthquakes, destabilizing structures and overwhelming enemies with sheer force.

While loyal to the Brotherhood, Avalanche is driven by a desire for destruction rather than ideology. His reckless nature often puts him at odds with Magneto’s calculated approach, but his abilities make him an invaluable asset in battle.
