PERSONAL NOTES OF CHARLES XAVIER
“There are few mutants I have encountered who embody pure savagery as completely as Victor Creed. He is not simply violent—he is a predator, driven by an insatiable need to hunt, to kill, to dominate. It is not survival that fuels him, nor vengeance, nor even hatred. It is something far more primal, far more perverse. He kills because it is in his nature, because he enjoys the act itself.
I have attempted, on multiple occasions, to rehabilitate him. To reach the man beneath the beast. I believed, perhaps foolishly, that even Victor Creed could be guided toward something greater than his bloodlust. That belief ended the day he eviscerated Psylocke and escaped my care, leaving behind only carnage and a grim reminder that some creatures cannot be tamed.
The government tried next, forcing him into their ranks under the banner of X-Factor. But even there, his nature could not be suppressed. The shock collar they placed around his neck was not a deterrent – it was a leash, one that only barely held him back. He was a weapon, not a soldier, and when the leash was loosened, he did what he always does – he killed.
His rivalry with Logan is perhaps the only thing that has ever resembled consistency in his life. It is not simply hatred – it is obsession. He has spent decades trying to prove his superiority, to break Logan in ways that go beyond the physical. He has tormented him, hunted him, slaughtered those he cared for, all in an attempt to force Logan to embrace the same darkness that consumes him. But Logan is not Creed. He never has been.
And now, Victor Creed is dead. His final act of cruelty – murdering Logan’s son, Daken – sealed his fate. Logan did what no one else could. He ended the war, slicing Creed into pieces, ensuring that this time, there would be no return.
But even as I write this, I wonder – can something as relentless as Sabretooth ever truly die? Or is he simply waiting, somewhere beyond the veil, ready to claw his way back into the world once more?”

X-MEN

FIRST APPEARANCE: Night of the Sentinels (Part 1)
VOICED BY: Don Francks
Sabretooth, also known as Victor Creed, is a feral mutant with enhanced strength, razor-sharp claws, and a healing factor. He is one of Wolverine’s most relentless enemies, their rivalry stemming from their shared past in Team X [Deadly Reunions]. Unlike Wolverine, Sabretooth fully embraces his animalistic nature, showing no remorse for his violent actions.
He first appears as an affiliate of Magneto, assisting in his war against humanity. However, Sabretooth is not loyal to any cause – his hatred for Wolverine often overrides any alliances he forms [Enter Magneto; Deadly Reunions]. He clashes with the X-Men multiple times, attempting to kill Wolverine on several occasions [Cold Vengeance]. His past with Silver Fox and Maverick is hinted at, revealing his betrayal of his former teammates during a mission [Weapon X, Lies and Video Tape]. He has a particular effect on Jubilee – he’s the villain of her stories [Jubilee’s Fairytale Theatre].
Sabretooth’s cruelty extends beyond his battles with Wolverine. His relationship with his son, Graydon Creed, is strained, as Graydon despises mutants and leads the Friends of Humanity, an anti-mutant organization [Bloodlines]. Sabretooth’s presence in the series is defined by his brutality and his obsession with proving his superiority over Wolverine [Beyond Good and Evil (Part 2): Promise of Apocalypse].
FILM SERIES

FIRST APPEARANCE: X-Men
OTHER APPEARANCES: X-Men Origins: Wolverine; Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine
PLAYED BY: Tyler Mane (X-Men; Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine); Liev Schreiber (X-Men Origins: Wolverine)
Victor Creed has always been a predator. From the moment he and Logan fought side by side in wars that spanned centuries, it was clear that while they shared blood, they did not share a soul. Logan sought purpose, redemption—Victor sought only the thrill of the hunt.
For years, they were brothers in arms, surviving battle after battle, their healing factors ensuring they walked away from wounds that would have killed lesser men. But Victor was never satisfied. He killed because he could, because it was in his nature, and when Logan began to question their path, Victor saw it as weakness.
When William Stryker came calling, offering them a place in his elite mutant task force, Victor embraced it. He thrived in the chaos, in the missions that required brutality. But Logan walked away, disgusted by what they had become. Victor never forgave him for that.
Betrayal was something Victor understood well—he had done it enough times himself. But Logan’s rejection cut deeper than most. He hunted him down, slaughtering anyone who stood in his way, forcing Logan into a confrontation that would change them both forever. He was the reason Logan agreed to undergo the adamantium bonding process, the reason Wolverine was born.
Yet even after Logan emerged stronger, Victor remained the same. He fought alongside Stryker, manipulated events to his advantage, and when the time came, he helped Logan destroy Weapon XI. But he did not stay. He never did. Victor Creed was not a man who lingered—he was a force that moved on, always searching for the next fight, the next kill [X-Men Origins: Wolverine].
Years passed, and when he resurfaced, he was different. More feral, less controlled. He had aligned himself with Magneto, serving as his enforcer, his brute strength a weapon against the X-Men. He clashed with Logan once more, their battle atop the Statue of Liberty proving that no matter how much time had passed, their rivalry remained unchanged.
And then, he was gone. No one knows where Victor Creed disappeared to after that fight. Perhaps he found another war to wage, another enemy to tear apart. Or perhaps, for the first time in his long life, he realized that Logan would never be the beast he wanted him to be [X-Men].
But if there is one certainty, it is this – Sabretooth never stays gone forever: a variant of Creed was seen alive in the Void, working for Cassandra Nova [Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine].
X-MEN: EVOLUTION

FIRST APPEARANCE: Strategy X
VOICED BY: Michael Donovan
Sabretooth is portrayed as a member of Magneto’s Acolytes, serving as one of his most dangerous enforcers [The Cauldron (Part 1)]. He is larger and more physically imposing than Wolverine, with a deep-seated hatred for his long time rival [Strategy X].
Sabretooth is introduced as a shadowy figure stalking Wolverine, waiting for the right moment to strike. Their battles are fierce, with Sabretooth often overpowering Wolverine through sheer brute force. He is shown to have knowledge of Wolverine’s past, taunting him with details that Logan himself cannot remember [SpykeCam; Grim Reminder].
Despite his animalistic nature, Sabretooth is a cunning opponent, using strategy alongside his raw power. He participates in Magneto’s plans, and even joins forces with Logan to face Apocalypse [Dark Horizon (Part 2)]. His fate remains unknown, though his rivalry with Wolverine is never truly resolved.
WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN

FIRST APPEARANCE: Hulk vs. Wolverine
VOICED BY: Mark Acheson (Hulk vs. Wolverine); Peter Lurie (Wolverine and the X-Men)
Unlike previous versions, Sabretooth is more calculating, working alongside Mystique and other villains to manipulate events to his advantage. He clashes with Wolverine multiple times, their battles showcasing their evenly matched abilities. His healing factor allows him to withstand severe injuries, making him one of the most difficult foes Wolverine has ever faced [Hulk vs. Wolverine].
Sabretooth’s motivations remain rooted in his desire to prove his dominance over Wolverine. He believes that Logan is holding back his true nature, refusing to embrace the predator within. This ideological divide fuels their conflict, making their encounters more than just physical battles – they are clashes of philosophy [Stolen Lives].
