Born on the vast farmlands of Siberia, Piotr was raised in a world of quiet labour, where strength was measured not in battle, but in the ability to endure. His mutation manifested in his youth, transforming his body into organic steel, granting him immense power and resilience. But Piotr was never one to seek conflict. He was an artist, a dreamer, a man who wished only to protect those he loved.
When the call came, he answered. The X-Men needed him, and he stepped forward without hesitation. His strength became their shield, his resolve their foundation. FIRST APPEARANCE: The Unstoppable Juggernaut

In America for work to raise money for his struggling family, Colossus was working on a building site in Manhattan, unintentionally putting workers out of a job due to his strength saving time. Attacked by Wolverine as a suspect in the X-Mansion’s destruction, Colossus left the scene – only to be in the bank at the wrong time, during a robbery, and arrested.
Placed in a cell next to the X-Men’s Beast, Colossus explained his situation to Beast, who had Rogue and Storm break Colossus from his cell. He helped the X-Men defeat the true culprit, the Juggernaut, but refused a place at the school [The Unstoppable Juggernaut].
A year later, Colossus returned to the X-Men to ask for aid in freeing his people, who had been imprisoned by a soldier desperate to reunite the USSR: Omega Red. Jubilee, the only X-Man available, went with him to aid him and Wolverine soon followed. Colossus freed his family from custody and took them home, settling with his sister Illyana, and thanking the X-Men for their aid [Red Dawn].

Colossus, is a mutant with the ability to transform his body into organic steel, granting him immense strength, durability, and near-invulnerability [X-Men]. Colossus appears as a quiet but powerful member of the X-Men, fighting alongside his teammates in battles against Magneto, William Stryker, and the Sentinels. Though initially a student, he proves himself a formidable warrior, particularly when he aids in the defense of Xavier’s school and the final battle against the Brotherhood at Alcatraz [X2; X-Men: The Last Stand].
After the timeline change, Colossus serves as a mentor and moral compass to Wade Wilson. As a staunch believer in Xavier’s dream, he constantly attempts to recruit Deadpool into the X-Men and steer him toward a more heroic path. Despite Deadpool’s relentless antics, Colossus remains patient, offering guidance and unwavering support – even when Wade’s methods are far from conventional [Deadpool; Deadpool 2].

A shy, quiet and articulate artist, Colossus was seemingly threatened by Magneto into joining his Acolytes, alongside Pyro and Gambit. Although he served the Acolytes well, and battled the X-Men, it was clearly not his true wishes. Threatening Magneto after Apocalypse’s reawakening, Peter made his intentions to return home clear. When Magneto disappeared, presumed dead, Colossus returned to Russia. He retuned in the final battle against Apocalypse and Xavier hinted that he would soon join his students at the Institute.
WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN

initially a member of the X-Men, Colossus was a mainstay of the team. However, after the destruction of the school and the Professor’s disappearance, Colossus decided to remain in Russia with his family, rather than return to the X-Men in America.
