As a Marvel fan, you learn to expect the unexpected. A newspaper headline here, a background news report there — the breadcrumbs of a crossover. The streets of Hell’s Kitchen? Daredevil’s probably nearby. A story set in Wakanda? You can bet on Black Panther or someone in his orbit.

So when an episode opens with mystical hidden cities, spiritual healing, martial arts, ninjas, and the majesty of the Tibetan Alps… you’d expect Iron Fist, right?

Or was that just me?

Instead, we get a power-mad lord seeking ultimate control over his sacred homeland. He needs a medallion to reach it — which, on a date night (the most believable part of the episode, frankly), somehow ends up in Hulk’s hands. The medallion’s peaceful aura calms the beast into Banner, triggering a quest to Tibet in search of Anavrin — a not-so-brilliantly disguised Nirvana nestled beneath Everest’s shadow.

What follows is a swirl of ancient sibling feuds, cyber-ninjas, and a high-stakes clash between technology and spiritualism.

Don’t get me wrong — it’s a good story.

It’s just not a Hulk story.
