PARTNERS IN DANGER
Chapter I
Tragedy unfolds as Robbie Robertson, the steadfast conscience of the Daily Bugle, is dragged into the Kingpin’s snare. Accused of crimes he did not commit, Robbie becomes the symbol of justice corrupted, his reputation shattered in the eyes of the city. Spider-Man, already burdened by grief, must fight not for himself but for the honour of his friend.
Evidence mounts, false and damning, showing how easily truth can be twisted when power bends the law. Even allies falter, and suspicion spreads like poison. In the courtroom, Robbie’s fate hangs by a thread, and Spider-Man’s faith in loyalty is tested to breaking point.
Jameson sharpens his vendetta, using Robbie’s arrest to fuel his crusade against Spider-Man. Yet beneath the bluster, the episode asks whether friendship can endure when the world demands doubt. Robbie’s ordeal becomes a mirror for Peter’s own struggle with identity and belief.
But corruption is everywhere: Kingpin’s empire thrives not only in the shadows but in the halls of justice, showing that villainy is not confined to the streets. His manipulation of the system reveals that even the law itself can be weaponised, leaving innocence defenceless against wealth and influence.
The cadence is loyalty. Guilty is the story of standing by those who matter most, even when the world turns against them. Spider-Man’s fight for Robbie is not just about clearing a name — it is about proving that friendship, once tested, can survive the weight of betrayal.
Spider-Man grieves in silence, haunted by Mary Jane’s fall at the hands of the Green Goblin. At the Daily Bugle, Jameson seizes the tragedy to smear the wall‑crawler, but Robbie Robertson defends him fiercely. On his way home, Robbie is abducted — knocked unconscious and framed as the mastermind of a crime. When Spider-Man arrives, he is struck by Robbie’s blaster before unmasking his friend in shock.
Robbie stands trial, pleading innocence, yet the evidence is damning and he is condemned. His family mourns, while Peter uncovers a clue in a photograph that proves Robbie never pulled the trigger. Behind the scheme lurks the Kingpin, ensuring Robbie is sent to Rooker’s Island, where darker plans await.
Jameson, stirred by loyalty, dons his old mantle as “Jigsaw Jameson” and begins his own investigation. Spider-Man shadows him, saving him from a warehouse bomb and uncovering the remote device that framed Robbie. The trail leads back to the Kingpin’s empire, and to Richard Fisk, imprisoned within Rooker’s Island.
Inside the prison, Robbie is confronted byTombstone and Richard Fisk, who reveal their plot for revenge. Spider-Man races to intervene, intercepting their escape and rescuing Robbie from their clutches. Tombstone and Fisk are returned to confinement, their scheme undone by Spider-Man’s resolve.
At Robbie’s re‑trial, Jameson presents the truth, and Robbie is cleared of all charges. The Bugle celebrates his freedom, and Robbie, restored to honour, declares that Spider-Man’s courage has proven him a true hero.

Richard Fisk has been in prison since he tried to frame Peter Parker in Framed.

Thwip Quip: “Well, I’ve gotta give old fuzz-head credit. He never gives up.”
Jonah’s Jibes: “What?! The nerve of that kid! In my day, you did what your editor told you to do and you liked it! Those were the days. When I was a reporter, I’d have solved a mystery like the Watson disappearance before lunch. Did I ever tell you about the time…” Also, his excuse for coming to Robbie’s aid: “I had to do something. It would’ve been too much work to replace you.”
